I have not been active on my blog for a while and here’s my explanation why… Lately in my life, things have not been turning out the way I want them to. More so completely opposite and I’ve been thrown into very negative situations. These have been completely draining and on top of it, I’m feeling very overwhelmed and frustrated with university while working a lot at the coffee shop.
After thinking over all of the negative things I asked, “okay universe, when will all the positive things start showing up in my life again?” And all I heard was, “when YOU start thinking positive.” This really made me think about everything. I can’t change the past but I can start thinking better which will change the future. I’ve noticed that it can be quite difficult to snap out of that negative energy. Well, THIS is me snapping out of it. This is me appreciating everything that has happened in my life. In order to know and appreciate happiness, we need to feel sadness. That’s just a part of life. Well, I’m in my sadness state but after this post, I’m going to be throwing that away and making room for positive energy and a healthy mindset.
When my mind is constantly on something that is not making me happy, my motivation drops. When my motivation drops, my grades and work ethic is not as strong as when I am happy. This cannot continue anymore and this is me saying, “Calista, you deserve happiness. You need to think positive, move forward and learn from your mistakes. Then you will be stronger, healthier and happier.” I’m not saying that you constantly have to be positive, I’m saying that you cannot continue to focus on the past and your mistakes. I’m learning to get upset, get mad, cry or whatever I need to do for a short time, then move on. Get all of your negative energy out of your mind and body and move forward with a fresh and positive outlook.
Right now, this is me taking control of my happiness. I am refusing to let negative people or certain things get in the way of my happiness. I know that after this, I will be stronger and healthier. I will appreciate my life, accept both the good and the bad, and I will move on with a smile. I know I can conquer anything and I know that life throws you in many different directions but if I tackle it with all I can, I will be okay. Life is such a beautiful journey and it should never be lived in negativity.
If you are going through difficult times, just know that it won’t last forever. You deserve all the happiness and a wonderful, positive life. Let’s overcome these obstacles together with a good mindset and a bright smile!
